The GRP works with white-handed gibbons (Hylobates Lar), the most widespread of the four species of gibbon found in Thailand. The routine work is divided into 4 main tasks.
It should also be noted that volunteers are not allowed to handle the gibbons; physical contact is allowed only in the presence and under the supervision of the Thai staff. Volunteers work a six-day week usually for 8 hours per day.
