Qualifications and Minimum Skills You will need to be happy living in the rainforest environment without all the usual luxuries of home, and have a dedicated attitude to the cause. It would also be a great help if you can speak some Spanish so you can talk to the locals. What can I do in my spare time? The Guanacaste Province has plenty of highlights if you want to spend sometime touring. There are archaeological digs that have discovered excellent pottery and ceramic artifacts and an eco-museum. For a cultural experience that is quite unique visit El Museo del Sabanero - a cowboy museum at honours the lifestyle of those olden day workers.
