Elements of Camp Tanzania

Tanzania is home to over one-quarter of Africa 's wildlife and we have included our favorite safari route as part of your stay. For the really adventurous you can use a week of your stay to climb Kilimanjaro or Mt Meru. If you stay for 2 or 3 months you will spend 10 days chilling out and snorkeling with wild dolphins in Zanzibar.

Highlights

  • 10-day Zanzibar trip including Dolphin and Spice Tours (2 and 3 month programme)

  • Add Camp Zanzibar 10 day to your 1 month trip for £275

  • School refurbishment, teaching and sport development Projects

  • Wildlife conservation projects (2 and 3 month programme)

  • 3-5 day big game safari in National Parks

  • Swahili lessons, orientation and 24-hour on-site management

  • Cultural excursions

  • Optional mountain week for Kilimanjaro/ Mt Meru*

Community

We work with several communities and which trip you choose to do will determine which communities you work with.
It is a fully interactive experience where you will see your efforts making a real difference to peoples lives. From renovating dilapidated classrooms to playing sports and teaching opportunities, there is something for everyone to get stuck into.

Wildlife Conservation:

Wildlife conservation is something we are passionate about and if you stay for 2 or 3 months you will get chance to help us with our quest. From digging watering holes to counting bugs * it’s all part of the programme which is constantly evolving as progress is made.

Safari:

It is widely recognised that Northern Tanzania provides a backdrop for possibly the best safari experience in Africa and we haven’t cut any corners. A safari from 3-5 days is included in all trips. Driving round the African bush with your mates, spotting wildlife such as giraffe, lion and elephant is an experience hard to beat.

Mountain

Kilimanjaro & Mt Meru

Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing volcano in the world and the tallest mountain in Africa, and it’s little sister Mt Meru with it’s amazing eco system of birds, elephant, buffalo and primates can both be added as option extra’s to your programme.

Prices range from £550-£950

Ocean

Okay we have to start by coming clean with you. Camping is not permitted in Zanzibar so I am afraid you will have to make do with a comfy bed and a mixture of hotels and beach bungalows. Camps International started from a mosquito ridden box room on a beach in Kenya. Since then we have come a long way and now have sustainable community and wildlife projects throughout Kenya, Tanzania and Borneo. The result is an international, multi racial, multi religious, culturally diverse community achieving extraordinary things together.
