There’s no better way to interact with a community and feel like you are making a difference than to take part in one of Teaching & Projects Abroad’s Care and Community projects.

We have Care and Community placements in 19 countries around the World. There’s no end to the ways you could make a difference, building homes and schools, helping Indian villagers develop sustainable farming practices, caring for the disabled, showering attention on disadvantaged, orphaned or street children, or even AIDS awareness work.

Care and Community volunteers don't need to be qualified or have previous experience - enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved and patience are the vital ingredients. Let us know if you'd like to work with children or on a practical placement. You could even do a bit of both! You’ll get the chance to work alongside local people, share your skills and learn even more. Be prepared for challenging work, but you will also have the knowledge that you are helping to make a difference to individual lives. The welcome and gratitude that you will receive from the community you join brings your reward on a personal level.
