  This placement would suit...

Lattatitude placements suit individuals with a can-do attitude who are willing to make the most of their placement and above all enjoy it. We especially look for volunteers with interests in extra-curricular activities such as sports or music

For applicants from the UK, we have a number of bursary schemes available for volunteers from a variety of backgrounds.

Our bursary scheme and funded placement projects reduce the barrier of cost for young people experiencing financial problems. They are designed to help young people who would not otherwise be able to afford to go.

Lattitude conservation projects are with our partner organisation, Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA). Work includes maintaining national parks, weeding, path building, surveying flora and fauna and monitoring local wildlife.

Imagine working in the Australian outback, hours from the nearest city. You are a member of a team of ten volunteers, planting trees in the desert. Last week you were cleaning up after bushfires ravaged Canberra and in several weeks' time you will be building bush tracks through one of the national parks. The landscape is stunning and the team is very social. Lattitude’s environmental placements can give you the real Australian outback experience!

Conservation placements suit volunteers who are reasonably fit, enjoy being a member of a team, and who have a passion for the outdoors. As CVA is a charity, it cannot afford to pay a living allowance. Food and accommodation is provided.
When can I go?

February or September. Placements are for five months, with a one-week holiday in the middle. You will participate in a variety of activities in two different states / territories, ensuring a diversity of experience and location.
Location

You may be placed anywhere in Australia, and projects are arranged to enable you to experience a variety of activities and locations.
Accommodation

Accommodation varies; you may be staying in a volunteer house in Adelaide, shearing quarters in country Victoria, or in a tent in a remote part of Western Australia... this is your chance to experience real outdoor communal living.
