Greenforce needs you to help research into the mysteries of the Amazon, a place of such immense biological diversity that each individual tree is home to thousands of other organisms! Each day you could be hoisted up into the rainforest canopy to collect tree samples and view the endless carpet of the Amazon stretching up to the Andes mountains. We’ll train you to mist net for tropical birds, ring them and identify toucans, flycatchers and motmots. You’ll record bird calls and soon be an expert in the difference between a screaming pihaa and a cacique, even if it’s mimicking. You’ll also be tracking mammals including the elusive jaguar, noisy squirrel monkeys and the bizarre two toed sloth!
