Don't just walk through life: take the Leap
The Leap runs voluntary placements in Africa, South America, Asia and Australia, combining work in some of the most authentic safari camps/eco-lodges in the World, with effective and life-changing conservation and community projects.

A unique Leap...
We are the only company to offer this fascinating mix of conservation, community and ecotourism projects - the three Leaps. Escorting guests on safari, helping stop poaching in a private game reserve and teaching English to orphaned children are just some of the experiences awaiting you on your placement.

This diversity and variety in each placement will broaden your horizons and surpass your expectations.

Where to Leap?
Projects take place in...
Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia.
South America: Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guyana, Argentina
Asia: Cambodia
Australia

Who Leaps?
Gappers, graduates and careergappers.

Solo Leap... or with a companion
Choose to work in some of the World’s most exclusive safari camps or eco-lodges e.g. Cottars Camp in Kenya, The River Club in Zambia. Help in all aspects of camp life and where applicable work on local community and conservation projects. The work will vary from camp to camp and depend on the volunteers’ skills and personality

Team Leap
Join a team of 10-15 volunteers, all based together in a temporary camp close to the projects. A Leap team consists of like-minded, individual travellers of a similar age (normally 18 - 21), from the UK and overseas. This provides a great social life where you will make friends to travel with afterwards. We will happily send friends who wish to travel together and will offer discounts for any group bookings. You will rotate on a monthly basis through our three Leaps: the safari camp/eco-tourism lodge, local community and conservation projects.

Summer team Leap
A six-week programme in the summer holidays to any of our team placements. Perfect for school-leavers who don’t want to take a full gap year or undergraduates wanting something exciting to do in their holidays.
