Plan and run sessions, pass on your knowledge, gain invaluable coaching experience, train and play with local teams, explore your chosen destination and have a lot of fun doing it! Hockey as a sport in Fiji stands on the brink of what could be a veritable explosion in interest and success. The National Hockey Centre, completed in 2003 for the South Pacific Games (at which Fiji's women took gold), has continued to be used with a corresponding heightening of interest and participation levels. As a Sportventurer in Fiji you can help to augment this success and let sections of society that may not otherwise receive a structured coaching environment to move closer to fulfilling their potential. Coaching can take place in a variety of settings, including schools (both primary and secondary), with clubs and in villages. For those with the enthusiasm and experience there may also be opportunities to get involved with representative teams. Coaching doesn't have to be limited to hockey. If you have the passion and interest to organise sessions in another discipline you'll certainly be given all necessary support.
