The coaching programmes run between 10 and 20 weeks and participants coach sport for the duration of a school term/sports season. You can coach summer sports such as cricket and tennis between October and April. Our rugby union, netball, hockey and football coaching programmes run between April and August. You’ll be coaching the same group of school kids during your programme, which gives you plenty of scope to build up a rapport with the pupils and test your coaching abilities to the full! You’ll be coaching both primary and secondary school pupils of all abilities during the afternoon with the use of brilliant school sports facilities, but the rest of your time will be your own. Aside from your basic coaching certificates, all you need is a first aid qualification and you’re away - doing around 10 hours of coaching, umpiring or refereeing work a week, and being paid between 18 and 30 Australian dollars an hour for it! (That’s anywhere in the region of £8 - £13 an hour, to you!).
