Are you a budding young tennis player looking to make it pro or a social player looking to develop your game whilst sampling another culture? Either way the Sport Lived Tennis Academy is the place for you. Situated at the magnificent Sydney Olympic Park, the Sport Lived Tennis Academy provides a complete and comprehensive player development programme where individuals have access to superb training facilities and expert coaching. The academy programmes are delivered by a pre-eminent team of tennis experts including academy head coach Wally Masur who led Australia to Davis Cup victory in 2003. Players also have access to nutritionists, a sports psychologist and other coaches who have played at an elite level. The 10 and 11 week academy programmes are run throughout the year. Players spend weekdays at the academy following a structured training programme and have the option of participating in tournaments organised by Tennis New South Wales at weekends. Additional one on one coaching sessions can be organised to supplement the training programme. Whilst at the academy people can also obtain tennis coaching qualifications and gain coaching experience working with local junior players. People on the programme have access to an abundance of top class sporting facilities. The academy is based at the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre which has 15 floodlight tennis courts, a 10,500 seat centre court stadium, a Pro Shop, café and function centre. A number of the other facilities at the Olympic Park are utilised during the programme. All participants attending the academy stay in fully furnished apartments at Homebush Bay with each person having their own room. The apartments are self catering and are located in a resort style complex which has cafes, restaurants, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool, supermarket and 24 hour security and is only 15-20 minutes walk from the Sydney Olympic Park. Each apartment is shared by 2-3 Sport Lived participants ensuring that you have a great social circle with whom you can explore your new environment.
