With courses from two to 16 weeks and a range of sports from traditional dinghy sailing to the adrenalin-packed surfing, the Sail and Board Sport (SBS) courses make the most flexible gap year possible. We follow the sun and wind around the world, travelling to some great training locations. From October to May we're sailing, surfing and windsurfing in Sydney, Australia. From May to October we're based at Vassiliki, Greece, for sailing and windsurfing. Course content Windsurf Instructor Fast-track is designed for confident, intermediate windsurfers who want to devote some time to developing skills on the water, combined with instructor training in a superb location. The first two weeks provide an intensive foundation course, including personal performance coaching, first aid and rescue boat driving. The final two weeks are devoted to instructor training, focusing on the coaching skills needed to inspire beginners. You will develop an imaginative approach to teaching safe and efficient windsurfing, as well as the theory that underlies it. We make sure you have time to learn and practise the necessary techniques before being examined. To gain the instructor qualification you will need to demonstrate RYA Intermediate Non-planing windsurfing ability (Level 2-3), good communication skills, an understanding of RYA training, in-depth theory knowledge, group management ability, safety awareness and an effective coaching style. Flying Fish training ensures you enter your final assessment ready and expecting to pass. The Fast-track takes place at Balmoral Windsurfing, our specialist centre on Sydney Harbour from October to May and at windsurfing mecca, Club Vass at Vassiliki in Greece from May to October.
