	This placement would suit... Protect Peru's biological and cultural heritage and contribute to the local economy by working with local people in this nature conservation project. You'll live and work in the Peru rainforests, monitoring wildlife species on trips with small teams of experts and running the centre's store. Your efforts will help to conserve the region’s great biodiversity, whose destruction would threaten the livelihood of the local people. Programme Highights See unique plants and animals indigenous to the rainforest and adventure through a landscape most people will never get to see first hand. Where Will I Live ? Cusco region, Peru You will be housed either with a host family or in a volunteer house with other volunteers. All meals will be provided for you. Qualifications and Minimum Skills You must be able to speak at least a conversational level of Spanish. A passion for conservation and nature is needed to get the most from the exciting package. What can I do in my spare time? The region offers incredible cultural and historical wonders. As it was an ancient Inca stronghold there are fascinating ruins and archaeological sites that will completely astound you. After your program you can do the famous Inca trail and hike to Maachu Pichu.
