You'll learn about Thai elephant communication and behavior, tracking them in the jungle, staying with them overnight, and treating them when they're sick. You'll help the project by assisting in a variety of roles, including looking after the elephant herd and protecting the local environment. Where will I live ? Chiang Mai District, Thailand You will be living in traditional Thai bamboo huts in the very heart of the elephant park. Sleep beneath the stars and wake up to the awe-inspiring sights and sounds of the Thai countryside. There is much do experience in this region. Its magnificent mountains provide a playground for sports such as white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing. You can also immerse yourself in the local culture and do cookery courses and attend local theatre. The more spiritually inclined can attend yoga and thai chi classes as well as learn to meditate. The area is also rich in traditions and you will be fascinated by the local crafts and markets.
