This exciting four week trip will see you discover untouched parts of Africa through a breathtaking canoe expedition, a traditional dhow boat journey and a PADI scuba diving course with open water dives on a tropical reef. You will end your stay with a deeply rewarding community sports project, giving orphans the chance to play and enjoy football in an organized tournament. This truly is an African adventure of a lifetime.Where will I go? You trip starts in central Mozambique where you will learn how to scuba dive before heading into the Indian Ocean and exploring the tropical delights of the world famous Bazaruto National Park. Its two mile long reef and warm waters make this one of the most beautiful places to do your first open water dives. The second week will see you canoeing down the Rio Guvuru, exploring the wonders of inland Mozambique from the water. Camp fires and star gazing will leave you enchanted by this beautiful country as you learn about its history and culture from experienced guides. Week three will be spent sailing around the Archipelago islands, exploring this seemingly untouched paradise from a traditional African sailing boat. The final week is your chance to give something back to the country you have been exploring through a community football coaching project. You will coach young orphans in the town of Vilanculos and organise an exciting tournament for them.... a really rewarding and enjoyable way to end your tour of Mozambique. What will I do?Week 1 Arrive in Vilanculos, Mozambique orientation, PADI Open Water Diver course. Confined water training and examination in Vilanculos, open water training and certification in Bazaruto Archipelago. Week 2 Freshwater Canoe Expedition. River canoeing along the Rio Gavuru, exploring deserted islands, learning about local culture and sleeping in two-man canvas bow tents. Week 3 Archipelago Dhow Sailing Trip. Practice your newly acquired diving skills whilst discovering the stunning Bazaruto National Park. During your stay aboard the dhow boat you will explore the islands with the help of local guides. Week 4 Football Coaching in Vilanculos. Coach and play football with young orphans in this seaside town and organise a tournament with prizes and an awards ceremony to round off your time in Mozambique.
