The Programme

Spend your six weeks training for the FGASA Level 1 exam, enjoying the great outdoors amongst the stunning scenery. The Namibian Field Guide Training Programme is ideally suited to the adventurous traveller, seeking a unique educational wildlife experience in one of Africa’s last remaining open wilderness areas.

The Caprivi strip is a piece of a different Africa; a verdant land of woodlands and flood plains where rivers never run dry, interconnected by the mighty Zambezi river, the Okavango Delta and Chobe River, lying in the north-east Kalahari desert.

This programme operates in the most beautifully wild areas of the Caprivi Region, surrounded by an abundance of wildlife such as Kudu, African Wild Dog, Cheetah, Hyena, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Lion.

Location

The Caprivi Region, in the tropical riverine woodlands of northeast Namibia.

Accommodation and Meals

The accommodation is situated adjacent to the Bwabwata National Park, on the banks of the beautiful Kwando River, which divides the Caprivi region into east and west and forms part of the border between Namibia and Botswana.

You will stay at the Bush Experiences’ designated camp, where you are provided with comfortable twin safari tents, fitted with beds and side-tables. Meals are included in the price of the programme
