 Real Sport Experience's Rugby Training Programme in South Africa provides the perfect opportunity to develop your skills as a player in one of the best rugby environments in the world. Rugby is by far the biggest sport in South Africa and to many people there, it is the only sport! Join the academy and learn from some of the best coaches worldwide involved in the development of rugby. Rugby Academy Programme The Real Sport Experience's Rugby Academy is run by our rugby Director and is affilliated with the University of Cape Town (UCT). It gives aspiring players the opportunity to live, train and sleep rugby for a whole month, in a professional environment that is conducive to overall development. For the month, each player will train like a professional rugby player. Rugby Coaching: The development programme will focus on not only the skills and positional elements of rugby, but also on the nutrition and high performance sides, to give each student a well-rounded experience at the academy. The environment and the professional coaching will also help to develop the mental aspects of each player's game too. Local Rugby Club: As part of the programme, you will also play for a local side. This will either be for one of the nine University of Cape Town sides or for Villagers Rugby Club. These teams are two of South Africa's leading clubs and have produced players like Stuart Abbott, Matt Stevens, Roby Fleck, Bob Skinstadt and Percy Montgomery, amongst many others. Accommodation & Meals All accommodation is included in the programme. You will live with local host family in a safe area of Cape Town. Meals are provided by the host family.
