Teaching projects and jobs

This South Africa volunteer programme provides an excellent opportunity to work with African children and contribute to the local communities in a positive way.

The programme is based in the Wild Coast region of South Africa, which remains largely undeveloped and rural. The communities have a large number of underprivileged children, with access to education, resources and equal opportunities being limited.

The community volunteer project tackles these challenges by splitting into 2 parts, with international volunteers being able to teach children computer skills and teach them sports too. If schools lack computers then the project will help supply them so that the children are encouraged to use them in all areas of their learning.

Volunteer Role

You will use your own skills in the programme to help the children. For example: If you have computer skills, you can teach this. If you are sporty, you'll help set up sports programs. This is a hugely rewarding experience as watching the children enjoying themselves and improving will make your work really seem worthwhile (and it is!).
