The Sports ProgrammeYou will volunteer amongst the vast space and ever-changing colours of the Rajasthan desert. Many parts of Rajasthan are developing, in desperate need for volunteer assistance in teaching, community work and sports. Your time on the programme will be divided amongst sports coaching and other valuable community work. There is a high demand for all types of volunteers in both areas, which means your time and efforts are warmly received and the impact you have is invaluable. Sports Coaching and Development WorkThe main effort of the volunteers is to create sports facilities and initiate sports activities for the schools’ students. You will work during allotted time-slots for physical education and also have the freedom to start sports clubs after school. More often than not, the children do not have a structured environment to spend their time, so you will be helping to keep them fit and direct their energies to something really productive. The objective of the coaching is to introduce different sports to the students and teach them various skills and exercises. It is important that while you are providing a fun activity or game for the children, that you also combine your lessons with the importance of exercise and how to warm-up to prevent injury.
